Butchers

I always thought I was a foodie. I was wrong. I am a food snob. I grew up in a family where my parents always exposed me to variety of flavors and freshest and bestest products. If I ever had a snobbish personality, that would apply to food. And by all means, quality of food, not how expensive it is. You food snobs out there know what I mean.

I had a pleasure of visiting this city in the Midwest for a house warming partylast year. Before the party, we went to errands to pick up food for the party. The last place we stopped by was a local grocery store with a full service fish counter and butcher. Not to mention that their selections of products are fresh and unique, but this place has a charm and style.

I wonder if there are butchers or grocery stores in L.A. that offer the service we used to get back in the day? Are there bucther that sells veggie-fed, no antibiotic or hormone added, organic meat in Los Angeles? Does it actually exist or am I being a dreamer?

My food journey in L.A. still continues.

A “quickie” in No Cal

I had a brunch with my potential suitor at The French Laundry

Yes, it was more than “worth” 5-hour of traveling (including the waiting time at the airport) to meet with this posh suitor at the lovely dining place!
